An unfurnished flat looks finished when you sign for it and turns out to be missing something every evening of the first week: a second socket within reach of the mattress, a light for the hallway at 3 a.m., a shower that rinses shampoo out, somewhere to put the shampoo. This scene follows that week in the order the gaps appeared — the first night on the floor, the first morning in the bathroom, the first weekend of flat-pack boxes, and the month-in moment when the drawers finally get sorted. Everything here is small, cheap and renter-friendly: nothing needs a drill or a landlord's permission. Expect to spend between $100 and $200 for the whole set.
